Perspectives of ICT in the New Europe

May 4, 2004

The biggest enlargement ever undertaken by the EU has become a reality. Ten new countries are running fast through the full adoption of new technologies into education. The article "Perspectives of ICT in the New Europe" summarises the overall situation of ICT in the new European Member States from a global perspective. It is based upon a report that was presented in February and that benchmarks the current situation and what has been done under the umbrella of the eEurope+ Action Plan, adopted in 2001 by the then 13 Candidate Countries.
