The annual national conference on developments in education (Kongres Rozwoj Edukacji) took place on 18 November 2015 in the Warsaw School of Economics. The conference is looking at new innovations in higher education, skill training for teachers & academic staff and the integration of digital and online technologies and the use of media like video. The conference attracted more than 70 people and was packed with interesting plenary sessions and round table discussions. In the afternoon a competition (Famelab) was organised where participants had to pitch innovative ideas and solutions for educational change in creative ways. At the conference Joasia van Kooten from ATiT held a presentation on the topic of video in higher education: advantages and pitfalls, she pointed to interesting resources from the MEDEA Awards and showed the EUscreen platform, a rich video repository for teachers and researchers.
