UCLL in Belgium is organising an international week of a blended intensive programme. We are delighted to announce that the CREATIVITY project’s team will be running a session on 24 March. An introduction to the 10 different modules that the CREATIVITY project has developed will be given, and Lisa Nonken from Sienna Art Institute (Italy) will take participants through the Photography Workshop which is one of the modules. The creative and cultural sectors have been identified as key areas for investment and growth In Europe. However, many would argue that the fundamental transversal skills of Communication, Creativity, Critical thinking and Collaboration, sometimes referred to as the 4Cs, which are of such importance to those working in these sectors are receiving less and less attention in the formal school curriculum. This is happening according as the importance of the humanities in our educational systems declines which is often where such skills are taught. CREATIVITY is a European Commission supported project which aims to support the resilience of the creative and cultural sectors by focusing attention on the 4Cs amongst those planning to work in such sectors. It has done this by creating 10 interactive education sessions each focused on topics such as digital storytelling, podcasting, clowning, and improvisation along with the necessary supporting teaching materials that can be used to develop these key competencies.
