This event is being organised by Europeana and takes place at 15.00 on Thursday 30 September 2010 in the Belgian Comic Strip Centre in Brussels.
It includes an illustrated presentation by Prof. Dr. Werner Adriaenssens, Curator of Decorative Arts of the 20th Century at the Royal Museums for Art and History. This will be followed by an open discussion ‘Why digitise culture?’ which includes Jef Malliet - Erfgoedplus.be, Provinciaal Centrum voor Cultureel Erfgoed in Hasselt, Sandra Fauconnier - Collection and Mediatheque in the Netherlands Media Art Institute and Gert Nulens - IBBT/SMIT.
