The Scientix team at European SchoolNet organised a gathering of people responsible for dissemination of European Science projects on 29 November in Brussels. The idea was to find ways in which to collaborate and to ensure the disssemination efforts of individual projects are as effective as possible.
ATiT was represented by Joasia van Kooten on behalf of the SAILS project on assessment in Inquiry based Science Education and by Janine Duchar on behalf of the Inspiring Science Education project which is running large-scale pilot activities in Europe aimed at enthusing and engaging students in science.
Ideas discussed included the organisation of joint activities, common strategies related to engaging teachers, data exchange and sharing and joint initiatives in addressing policy-makers. This event also provided an opportunity for Sally Reynolds from ATiT to give a presentation about the outputs and results of the Web2LLP project on the use of social media by European project managers.
